Mana is a Czech food brand creating complete nutrition: powders, drinks, and bars for people who want to eat healthy without compromise or overthinking. Mana was running on a heavily customised PrestaShop. Every update took time; every change went through a developer. The subscription model Mana wanted would have cost millions on a custom build. Every major design or product identity change was slow and expensive. The brand needed a platform that could keep up with their pace — not one that would slow them down.
How the collaboration process worked
- From the first call with Shopify to going live across all markets took around six weeks. The sprint was intense — the team worked flat out to make the result look unmistakably Mana, and for customers not to notice the transition.
- The collaboration with Sounds Good began shortly after the e-shop launched — the first contact came through the GoPay payment gateway integration. We knew Shopify from the inside and could solve things quickly, without the pitfalls that wait for every newcomer to the platform. A one-off job turned into a partnership that continues to this day.
- Shopify's flexibility showed when Mana launched in the US market — a different logistics setup and a local 3PL partner for shipping. Mana handled it without rewriting the whole platform.
- Today, Mana handles the vast majority of e-shop changes with one in-house person without a technical background — thanks to the PageFly page builder, they build entire home and product pages without touching code. We take care of what can't be done without code — new sections, custom features, technical integrations. On average around 20 hours a month.
