How to get lost and find the way back home?
In my newest adventure within the ecommerce business I’ve been struggling with finding focus and keep connected to it. I hear many advices like “Do what you like and outsource what is painfully time consuming” but how do you actually do that? When you have so many responsabilities and ambitions is very easy to straggle and lose track of your primary goals.
In the last couple of weeks running our online store I realized how easy it is to get lost in the marketing ocean , in the coding forest , in the busy delivery streets or even around the crazy accounting house . How can somebody perform positively and profit with so many things to worry about? And let’s not start speaking about social media and blogging “obligations”. . .
It might seem crazy but today, after postponing for days this blog post I decided to discover what I need with your help: what if blogging can actually be one of my best helps to concentrate on my needs and not just an hour “lost” trying to express myself (which is fundamental as well). If Medium is all about creating better content together I decided to come to you and ask for advice, more than trying to give some nice (and unreal?) tips about how you should manage yourself when I can’t even control my time at 100%.
I am sure that many of you are plenty of tips, suggestions and stories about how you have performed some 30 hours kind of work on a short man day.
Comment, answer and share your own or other people’s stories. Let’s make from this place a cooperation site for Focus and Direction !
I’ll drop here my first impression of what I need to do:
Don’t stress!!! 😇
What I want to happen and is not happening?
Pray for it 🙏
Work for it and not for something else!
Can you see how twisted this is? I want some solution and I already gave 4 (not very simple) steps towards it. I know that together we will still give much more steps, pre-steps, reflexion moments and apparently time-consuming solutions to have more time. But I also believe that soon we’ll see what we are missing in this puzzle and cooperate in order to solve it.
Maybe we need to read more, maybe we need to think more… Maybe we need to do the opposite of that and maybe we need to stop “maybeing” and just do it!
If I am learning that too much thinking can paralyse you I am also figuring out that shooting for every target will make you and me fail the most important and valuable ones.
So please, leave your comments, suggestions and tips. I am looking forward to go through all of them and start a very productive discussion :)
PS. For the curious: you can visit what I‘ve been doing lately in our ecommerce and how it started.
